<PLA sheet (for Deco sheet & Deco tile)>


EcolBiotech's Bio-polymer is a biodegradable material that can replace the conventional plastics and provides customized solutions to customer needs.  It's a composite material that mixes 12 types of environmental friendly materials + eco-friendly polymeric resin with PLA.  Do not cause environmental problems and generate hazardous matters such as dioxin. 

EcolBiotech's sheet is 100% biodegradable material.  The starch is abstracted from PLA whose chief element is corn starch.  And, the starch is gone through glucose fermentation and made into lactic acid.   The final products can be obtained after filming process and printing using water-soluble ink.   Previous PVC consists of 100% synthetic resin and is an unbiodegradable plastic that contains harmful substances.  Unlike this, EcolBiotech's sheet has zero synthetic resin and doesn't contain any threatening substances to the environment and doesn’t emit any toxic gas in fire.  Furthermore, it degrades in aerobic microbial environment when bruied in landfill but doesn't degrade in use just like wood.

Outstanding Characteristics of EcolBiotech's sheet :

* Endocrine Disrupter
In case of fire, PVC emits VOCs and toxic gas fatally.  The smoke density of our material is only 1/10~1/15 of PVC. 

* Human being friendly material
PH of the material is 6.0    Very similar with human being PH 5.5   It gives us comfortable mood and the people like the touch feeling. 

* Abrasion and Scratch Resistance
The main raw material is PLA(Poly Lactic Acid).  The Abrasion & Scratch Resistance of PLA is more than two times than PVC / PP.  It's one of outstanding characteristics of EcolBiotech's sheet. 

* Great shape & size conservative force
The contraction rate is under 4/1000.  It means 20/1000 of PVC's contraction rate.  PVC has the property of going ahead with restoring force after thermoforming.  Therefore, the shape & size conservative force of PVC is debased.   But, EcolBiotech's sheet is perfectly crystallized after forming so that the shape and size will remain perfectly on the whole in use.

* Adhesive property & printing absorptiveness.  No need laminating.  
EcolBiotech's sheet has high adhesive property without any pre-treatment process compared to PVC, PP, PET, ABS, etc. and, you can expect better printing quality because it absorbs the printing ink very well.  It can give high efficiency of printing works.
PVC, PP, and PETG generally need 2 or 3-layer laminating that may cause unstable shape & surface.  EcolBiotech's sheet doesn't need laminating and those problems don't occur.

* Albinism-free
Albinism doesn't occur in Ecolbiotech's sheet.  It's totally different from the existing materials.

* 100% Biodegradable
Synthetic resins start degrading after about 100 years.  EcolBiotech's materials biodegrade after 2~3 years after disuse.  It's really eco-friendly products. The biodegradable conditions are 60 degree Celsius, 80% humidity in activated microbes for over 45 days then, it starts biodegrading.  But it doesn't mean the products degrade in room temperature in use.  You can think 'similar with wood or cellulose' in use.
